HOW DO I ENROLL IN A PROGRAM?

Call or apply on-line, the best way is to fill out our on-line intake form, an admissions counselor will reach out within 24 to 48 hours of submission. Our office hours are between 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday and we are available to take your call.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

Short answer is NO. There is no cost for enrolling and attending. Because we are Federally funded organization under the United States Department of Labor (DOL), there is no cost to students, and in most cases can earn while you learn.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING IS AVAILABLE?

There are various fields of training available to students it is our goal to asses potential skills to help guide students to careers with successful completion of their program of choice.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL AT YDC?

You may be eligible for YDC if you:

Are committed to improving your education and your future.

Need job skills training, education, counseling, or related assistance to help get you started on a career pathway.


Are between the ages of 16 and 24 are a U.S. citizen, a legal U.S. resident, or are a resident of a U.S. territory and/or are authorized to work in the United States.


Veterans

Individuals who have aged out of foster care.

Incarcerated individuals

Returning citizens, and individuals looking to discover themselves.

CAN I QUIT THE YDC PROGRAM ANY TIME?

Yes. No one will force you to stay if you're not happy. All we ask is that you try your best to succeed.We promise you this: It will be difficult sometimes, and we will challenge you, but if you don't quit on us, we won't quit on you.

What is YDC Pathway to Careers?

you must earn a high school diploma, or GED if you have aged out of high school.
afterward you will receive wrap-around-services, such as counseling, transportation, health care.
You will earn a work ethic and life skills certification.
You will earn apprenticeship readiness certificate that is recognized by Trade Unions and Non-Unions.
You will earn NCCER Certification.
You will earn Pre-apprenticeship certificate upon graduation that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
You can earn up to your Department of Labor Journeyman card.
You can earn an associates degree, because you will receive up to 47 college credits through our community college program.
You will be placed in a career either with our union partners and/or our community employment partners
You will have an opportunity to be an entrepreneur.
